Biography
NISHIO Chizuru graduated from Tokai University and received Ph.D. in Engineering in 1993. She joined University of Tsukuba in 1992 as an Assistant Professor of Marketing. She was appointed an Associate Professor in 1996 and Professor in 2005. She was also a visiting scholar at The UCLA Anderson School of Management in 1999 and The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 2005.
Currently she is a Professor of Marketing and a member of the Science Council of Japan.
Areas of research include Consumer Behavior, Marketing Communication and Social Marketing. Her current research topic is environmentally friendly and ethical marketing based on consumers’ prosocial behavior.
